Mann-o-Mann... Einer besser wie der andere: zunächst den WGS ET-65 (als ausgezeichneter G12-65er Ersatz!) im TTC 212 Dumble, dann den WGS G8C (als Abwechslungsalternative zum Jensen P8Q) im TTC 108 American Vintage, und nun 2 Stück WGS Reaper. Der 12" Reaper stellt eine direkte Austauschalternative zum Celestion G12H30 Anniversary Edition dar und ist für 'nen Hunderter weniger zu haben! Halt "Warehouse"... Die Umschreibung des Herstellers kann ich voll bestätigen: "Der Reaper klingt wie ein Green Beret auf Stereoiden. Die Membranverzerrung beginnt etwas später als beim Green Beret. Er eignet sich auch hervorragend für eine Mischbestückung mit einem Green Beret oder Veteran 30." Verwendete Boxen: - TTC 212 Dumble - TTC 112 REX Pro - TTC 212 BA - TTC 112 Studio Standard - und aus Jucks mal im TTC 112/806 und im TTC 112 REX M5 Abwechslungsalternative zum Jensen P8Q) im TTC 108 American Vintage, und nun 2 Stück WGS Reaper. As the frequency increases, the radiation of a loudspeaker is increasingly focused on its center. If the listener is in this beam, the sound is extremely harsh and biting; if one moves to the side of it, the sound becomes significantly darker and treble components are partially missing.
To reduce this behavior, a diffuser is used. This sits directly in the beam of the speaker and deflects the high frequencies very strongly, it breaks the "beam". This makes the sound much fuller and more balanced.
