Finally, the wait is over. We have created a 10" speaker that captures all the tone and mojo of our extremely popular 12" Green Beret.   The Green Beret 10 boasts the same midrange push, articulate top end and warm, harmonically rich breakup of its larger namesake.  It also sports an impressive amount of low end for a 10" speaker.   With a 1.5" voice coil and a paper former, this speaker drips with vintage tone.    If you've been looking for classic British tone in a 10" speaker the Green Beret 10 delivers.

Tube-Town Review: Due to the smooth cone used in the 10" WGS Green Beret, its top end is much more subtle compared to the original 12" Celestion Greenback G12M, but also to the 10" Celestion Greenback. However, the midrange is not overemphasized and the whole speaker sounds full and balanced, with a distinct "American touch" to the overall sound.
We recommend the 10" Green Beret for everything from blues to rock to modern metal, but less so for blackface-typical clean sounds, for which there are better suited 10" speakers. In order for the speaker to develop its full sonic spectrum, it should be used either in an open cabinet or combo, or in a large-volume closed cabinet. A closed cabinet that is too small will dampen the speaker too much and cut the sound.
The WGS 10" Green Beret is also a real upgrade for many budget combos that are equipped with inexpensive 10" speakers and often sound a bit thin and sharp, especially when it comes to harder tones.

Back in the late 60s, the G12H was created by fixing an 'H' type (heavy) magnet to the body of a G12M guitar speaker. Result: a speaker with more power and a different tonal balance: firmer bass and a more pronounced top end. So we added an 'H' magnet to the G12M-65 Creamback, create a speaker that delivers the sonic signature of a G12H combined with Creamback levels of power handling. As the frequency increases, the radiation of a loudspeaker is increasingly focused on its center. If the listener is in this beam, the sound is extremely harsh and biting; if one moves to the side of it, the sound becomes significantly darker and treble components are partially missing.
To reduce this behavior, a diffuser is used. This sits directly in the beam of the speaker and deflects the high frequencies very strongly, it breaks the "beam". This makes the sound much fuller and more balanced.

waterbased Tolex-Glue, 500 ml

How To use ?
The glue must be applied onto the wood and the Tolex.
After a dyring time of ca. 30 min the Tolex can be put onto the wood.

And how much glue do you need ?
The can of 500 ml is enough for ca. 2.3 m². This is enough for a TTC212REX and there is still about 100 ml glue left.

Attention
For a better adhesive power it is recommended to put a second layer of glue onto the tolex after the drying time.
