TT Diffusor 12" - Standard

Universal size for 12" speakers
Dome diameter: 80 mm - recommended for most of the guitar loudspeaker with average beaming

As the frequency increases, the radiation of a loudspeaker is increasingly focused on its center. If the listener is in this beam, the sound is extremely harsh and biting; if one moves to the side of it, the sound becomes significantly darker and treble components are partially missing.
To reduce this behavior, a diffuser is used. This sits directly in the beam of the speaker and deflects the high frequencies very strongly, it breaks the "beam". This makes the sound much fuller and more balanced.

The JENSEN® "C" series speakers were developed because the world's supply of cobal (Co in AlNiCo) slump, making this raw material more expensive. While ceramic magnets are larger in size than comparable AlNiCo magnets of the same gauss strenght, their cost is lower. "C" series JENSEN® speakers use same cones and voice coils comparable to our AlNiCo series speakers, thus providing a similar tone but at a reduced price.

Tube-Town's Review

The Celestion V-Type sounds like a Vintage 30 with a touch of Greenback. Does anybody really need this? We think so, because the V-type has some clear advantages over the Vintage 30.
The biggest complaint about the Vintage 30 it the strong mid peak, which is nearly linear at 100dB between 450 - 1300 Hz. The V-Type also has a mid peak, but it starts later, around 600 Hz, and drops off sharply after 1kHz, which gives it a significantly smoother, less cluttered sound.
The V-Type also weighs quite a bit less than the Vintage 30. Your back will be grateful, and combo owners will be particularly happy.
The weight reduction follows from the use of a smaller magnet. The smaller magnet has the additional advantage that it can now be used in combos in which the magnet of a Vintage 30 would come in contact with the tubes or transformers. The V-Type also handles 10 watts more, which allows greater headroom, and is particularly useful with 50-watt amps.
Finally, the V-Type is considerably less expensive than the Vintage 30, for which your wallet will thank you.
All in all, we have to ask if the Vintage 30 is even necessary any more, as the V-Type is, to our taste, a better speaker and highly recommended as a direct replacement.

Originally re-released a little over a decade ago, the G12H remains hugely popular with players looking to recreate the classic sounds of 60s and 70s rock.
