The G12M Greenback is perhaps the definitive vintage Celestion ceramic magnet guitar speaker. Developed in the mid-sixties, it was quickly adopted by players like Hendrix, Clapton, Beck and Page, who typified the louder and more aggressive blues rock playing styles that came to characterize that era.The G12M-65 Creamback produces the familiar woody G12M tone, but handles greater power making it ideally suited for today's amps, when a vintage tone is desired. The ET10 is the 10” version of one of our most popular speakers: the ET65. The ET10 boasts a tone reminiscent of its 12” counterpart, but with a bit more of a pronounced midrange. We have created a 10" speaker that captures all the tone and mojo of our extremely popular 12" Green Beret.   The Green Beret 10 boasts the same midrange push, articulate top end and warm, harmonically rich breakup of its larger namesake.  It also sports an impressive amount of low end for a 10" speaker.   With a 1.5" voice coil and a paper former, this speaker drips with vintage tone.    If you've been looking for classic British tone in a 10" speaker the Green Beret 10 delivers.

Tube-Town Review: Due to the smooth cone used in the 10" WGS Green Beret, its top end is much more subtle compared to the original 12" Celestion Greenback G12M, but also to the 10" Celestion Greenback. However, the midrange is not overemphasized and the whole speaker sounds full and balanced, with a distinct "American touch" to the overall sound.
We recommend the 10" Green Beret for everything from blues to rock to modern metal, but less so for blackface-typical clean sounds, for which there are better suited 10" speakers. In order for the speaker to develop its full sonic spectrum, it should be used either in an open cabinet or combo, or in a large-volume closed cabinet. A closed cabinet that is too small will dampen the speaker too much and cut the sound.
The WGS 10" Green Beret is also a real upgrade for many budget combos that are equipped with inexpensive 10" speakers and often sound a bit thin and sharp, especially when it comes to harder tones.

The P10R-F was designe in cooperation with Fender for the reissue of the Fender Bandmaster.
The main difference compared with the original P10R is the lower sensitivity of 92,5 dB and the much lower resonance frequency of 87,3.
Also the top end is smoother and less harsh which makes the speaker a little bit softer in tone.

Originally re-released a little over a decade ago, the G12H remains hugely popular with players looking to recreate the classic sounds of 60s and 70s rock.

As the frequency increases, the radiation of a loudspeaker is increasingly focused on its center. If the listener is in this beam, the sound is extremely harsh and biting; if one moves to the side of it, the sound becomes significantly darker and treble components are partially missing.
To reduce this behavior, a diffuser is used. This sits directly in the beam of the speaker and deflects the high frequencies very strongly, it breaks the "beam". This makes the sound much fuller and more balanced.
