Tube-Town's Quick-Test (as of Feb 2023):
Speakers with hemp cone have been around for years, but somehow they never really caught on. To our European ears they usually sound a bit muffled, sometimes even dull and also a bit lifeless, which is why the expectations for the Celestion Hempback were not particularly high, but the surprise was then all the greater.
The Hempack was tested in an open 112 REX powered by a TT JC18. The guitar used was a Tele with hot pickups. In this configuration, the speaker delivered wide and balanced sound right out of the box, no overemphasis or annoying frequencies.
The bass was clear, the Tele's low strings came through strong yet defined, the mids were round but not overbearing, and the highs were convincing with a pleasant yet restrained presence. And even at gain setting 10 there was no cause for complaint (as long as you didn't turn the treble control on the amp too far to the right). The sound was round and without sawing highs, but still had its own character and enough bite to assert itself in a band context.

Conclusion: In the environment specified by Celestion (open cabinet or combo), the Hempback can convince with a balanced sound image, and that with both clean and heavier sounds. It is fun to play it. The 50 watts of the speaker are perfectly sufficient for a variety of amplifiers and a sensitivity of 99 dB is not exactly little either, and the weight of 3.5 kg makes itself felt positively especially with combos, especially if you have to move them often.
So all in all: thumbs up.

Back in the late 60s, the G12H was created by fixing an 'H' type (heavy) magnet to the body of a G12M guitar speaker. Result: a speaker with more power and a different tonal balance: firmer bass and a more pronounced top end. So we added an 'H' magnet to the G12M-65 Creamback, create a speaker that delivers the sonic signature of a G12H combined with Creamback levels of power handling. Back in 1986 a new breed of hard rock player was on the rise. To meet the demands of the players and their increasingly 'hot-rodded' amplifiers, we set out to develop a modern speaker, capable of handling much more power and overdrive. To achieve this, we coupled our 'H' magnet (the closest in performance to Alnico) with a new cone and voice coil employing contemporary materials.

CERAMIC Vintage

The JENSEN® "C" series speakers were developed because the world's supply of cobal (Co in AlNiCo) slump, making this raw material more expensive. While ceramic magnets are larger in size than comparable AlNiCo magnets of the same gauss strenght, their cost is lower. 10" seamed ribbed cone with Large Ceramic Magnet, the replacement for C10N, paper voice coil.
Similar to the 10LC but with less output but a more balanced sound, with more sparkle on the top end. A slightly smoother sound that retains headroom.
Originally intended for studio or home use, many musicians claim it to be the closest to the original C10N from 4 and 5 decades ago.  
Paper voice coil versions are most similar to the originals and impart a woody tone that is flatter when directly compared to our standard coil.

Developed in the late '70s, the Classic Lead uses a fibreglass voice coil former to deliver an 80W power rating and a unique dynamic sound.

As the frequency increases, the radiation of a loudspeaker is increasingly focused on its center. If the listener is in this beam, the sound is extremely harsh and biting; if one moves to the side of it, the sound becomes significantly darker and treble components are partially missing.
To reduce this behavior, a diffuser is used. This sits directly in the beam of the speaker and deflects the high frequencies very strongly, it breaks the "beam". This makes the sound much fuller and more balanced.
