R.F. DOUBLE TRIODE E88CC is the European Name of 6922/6DJ8. It is often used for Hi-Fi applications. It provides very smooth mids and high end with a lot of detail. Files:

Sonically similar to the "normal" JJ 12AX7, but the overall sound is "fuller" and "stronger" with a more powerful bass. Visually, compared to the normal JJ 12AX7, the long anode plates stand out, as well as a slightly higher current. Suits well in guitar and bass amps, but also in audio and high-end areas. All JJ gold preamp tubes are selected within a close tolerance and handtested for best sound and quality. Furthermore all pins are gold plated to achieve best electrical contact. R.F. DOUBLE TRIODE ECC99 is a 9-pin double triode usually used as a driver for directly heated power triodes (i.e. 300B and 2A3), but in some applications can be used as power tube (headphones amps, small power amps...).
