I put these in the V2 and V3 positions of a VOXAC15C1. They sound good. For the V1 use either a 'V1' rated JJECC83S or a Tung Sol Reissue. Both sound good with the Tung Sol offering a bit more clarity and gain. good with the Tung Sol offering a bit more clarity and gain.

I have put it in v2,v3,v4 position of my Peavey Ultra Plus following the suggestion of TT. I don't have a lot of experience about tubes but the clean is still sparkly and I don't notify any noise.I've replaced a Sovtek 12ax7 whit this. The crunch and ultra channel aren't noisy also. I'm satisfied and my wallet also! is still sparkly and I don't notify any noise.I've replaced a Sovtek 12ax7 whit this. The crunch and ultra channel aren't noisy also. The JJ ECC803 is a premium 12AX7 / ECC83 type which was designed for audio applications.
With its rich, open sound and excellent spatial detail, it is a great choice for hi-fi and high-end equipment. It also works very well in classic guitar and bass amplifier circuits, where it adds clarity, depth and fine detail to the sound.

Note: Tubes equipped with long plates are commonly associated with a "warmer" or "richer" sound, whereas those with shorter plates tend to deliver a "tighter sound". JJ 6V6 Red Labe - QUAD - Double Mica

JJ 6V6 Double Mica double-layered mica in the upper part of the tube. This stabilizes the tube system and significantly reduces possible vibrations that can occur due to heavy mechanical stress. This version of the JJ 6V6 was specifically designed for use in combo amplifiers.

The JJ6V6 is a beam power pentode with octal base and a maximum plate dissipation of 14W. It has fat low end and full mid tones with very good tone separation and a smooth, clean high end - in general, a very balanced tone.
Currently, the only new production 6V6 which is approved for up to 500V anode voltage in pentode operation.
