I put these in the V2 and V3 positions of a VOXAC15C1. They sound good. For the V1 use either a 'V1' rated JJECC83S or a Tung Sol Reissue. Both sound good with the Tung Sol offering a bit more clarity and gain. Both sound good with the Tung Sol offering a bit more clarity and gain.

I have put it in v2,v3,v4 position of my Peavey Ultra Plus following the suggestion of TT. I don't have a lot of experience about tubes but the clean is still sparkly and I don't notify any noise.I've replaced a Sovtek 12ax7 whit this. The crunch and ultra channel aren't noisy also. I'm satisfied and my wallet also! clean is still sparkly and I don't notify any noise.I've replaced a Sovtek 12ax7 whit this. The crunch and ultra channel aren't noisy also. Kit TT PSU Mini - Center Tap

Kit TT PSU Mini Center Tap

Standard power supply for power transformers with center tap. NOT recommended for tube rectifiers because the first stage has a capacity of 100 µF which is too much for most tube rectifiers. Some capacitors need to get changed if it should be used with a tube rectifier (further informations in the datasheet).

The kit includes all components except a power transformer and a choke for building a PSU for tube amps. If you want to use a choke instead of the included 5 W resistor you must order the choke separately. The PSU is recommended for tube amps up to 50 Watt. The size of the PSU is only 97 x 55 mm and it has a height of ca. 40 mm (without spacer bolts).

Please refer to the attached schematic for more informations about the layout and design of the PSU.

Tip: use Duncanamps' PSU Designer to simulate and calculate power supplies.
