I put these in the V2 and V3 positions of a VOXAC15C1. They sound good. For the V1 use either a 'V1' rated JJECC83S or a Tung Sol Reissue. Both sound good with the Tung Sol offering a bit more clarity and gain. good with the Tung Sol offering a bit more clarity and gain.

I have put it in v2,v3,v4 position of my Peavey Ultra Plus following the suggestion of TT. I don't have a lot of experience about tubes but the clean is still sparkly and I don't notify any noise.I've replaced a Sovtek 12ax7 whit this. The crunch and ultra channel aren't noisy also. I'm satisfied and my wallet also! is still sparkly and I don't notify any noise.I've replaced a Sovtek 12ax7 whit this. The crunch and ultra channel aren't noisy also. The TT12AX7 impresses with its fine and detailed reproduction of the highs, which is maintained even at high amplification levels. Due to a higher H3 part, the TT12AX7 sounds significantly cleaner than many other 12AX7/ECC83 tubes, which makes the bass range appear much tighter. We therefore especially recommend this tube for styles such as clean, crunch, and metal, where high amplification and clear transparency are required.

Application Notes

The JJ ECC803 is a premium 12AX7 / ECC83 type which was designed for audio applications.
With its rich, open sound and excellent spatial detail, it is a great choice for hi-fi and high-end equipment. It also works very well in classic guitar and bass amplifier circuits, where it adds clarity, depth and fine detail to the sound.

Note: Tubes equipped with long plates are commonly associated with a "warmer" or "richer" sound, whereas those with shorter plates tend to deliver a "tighter sound". However, tubes featuring long plates exhibit increased sensitivity to vibrations and mechanical disturbances, rendering them less ideal for critical applications.
