The amount of Tolex you need to cover a box or case depends on the size of the case and the way you cut the Tolex.
If you want to cover the housing with a continuous piece, you need significantly more Tolex than if you used several parts (e.g. Fender).

The two sketches show two possible ways how to cut the Tolex and how to calculate the required amount.
