The Tung-Sol KT170 was developed due to the success and popularity of the KT120 and KT150 tubes, aiming to provide even higher power capability. As the largest and most powerful tube in its series, it features an 85-watt power dissipation, allowing amplifiers to reach over 300 watts, and an original-shaped glass bulb designed for high vacuum and heat dissipation at high power levels.
