We recommend the Sylvania 5751 as a replacement or upgrade for 12AX7/ECC83 tubes in the input stage of guitar amplifiers (V1 position). Whether your amp is low or high-gain, the Sylvania 5751 provides a full, warm sound with clean bass. These tubes generate a high k2 content, making them ideal for those who prefer a rich sound.
However, the Sylvania 5751 should not be used in cathode follower stages (CF) specifically designed for 12AX7/ECC83 tubes.
