Description

The TRICONE® MKII is a flexible cable for guitar, keyboard, the live musician, studio keyboarder, and the home recorder. Based on the sound wire diameter of 0.22 mm² and the fine individual strands of 0.10 mm, it is protected against cable breaks and convinces with high bending cycles. It is very robust, easy to wind, and very reasonably priced.

When working with it care should be taken when removing the concutive shielding (black PVC-hose) from the insulation, so that it does not touch the inner conductor.

rock with one of the most interesting guitar cables ever made. This soft, highly flexible guitar cable
with its very attractive finish stands out by outward and inner values. It is sheathed by a thick 7.2 mm jacket
in a velvety, semi-transparent BLACK ZILK jacket, which glides on the the floor as lightly as a feather.
We use concentrically stranded litz wires of oxygen.free class Nò Cile copper (OFC 99.9999%) and a GAS-
INJECTED PE insulation which ensures a low-loss, neutral transmission.

The stranding angle of the shielding screen has been chosen with care so that hardly any friction points
will ocour at the overlying sleeve protection of the connector, giving the cable an extra long life.

With DIY configuring please bear in mind that the black carbon screen(on the white insulation) is conductive
and must therefore be removed to avoid any earthing contact with the inner conductor.

That's why especially this cable has to have a very demanding and unique inner life.

Most musicians invest a lot of money in low cost cables, until they finally realise that the cables they just bought are barely good enough for shortwave radio reception or that it even ruins the entire sound image of a very expensive instrument. We have distanced ourselves from cheap products and offer a top quality cable at a fair price.
SC-SPIRIT has a thick insulation between wires and shiedling. This improves the capacitive values and ensures loss-free high rendition, even with longer cables. To avoid crackling and hum interference we use a special conductive carbon shield and copper braided shield. When soldering make sure that the carbon shield and the inner conductor do not touch.

Making the impossible come true… -

when dealing with a new guitar cable, this involves creating an extremely low capacitance together with a breathtaking flexibility. Developing an insulation which ensures super low values by means of a gas-injected foaming – this is not an easy job, but well within the bounds of possibility for a professional cable maker. However, protecting this fragile insulation also against motion, creasing or twisting, is indeed a true challenge.

With the SC-SPIRIT LLX "LOW LOSS" we have fallen back on the same insulation design as it is used in professional HD-SD video cables. For extra stability of the inner construction we use an optimised concentrical litz stranding and a special insulation curing on the surface. For the outer jacket we have applied a rubberlike soft PVC jacket, which is highly flexible, extremely compact, stretches hardly and protects the whole inner structure from exterior influences.

Due to its low capacitance and its very special construction the SC-SPIRIT LLX "LOW LOSS" is one of the world’s ultra-low loss guitar cables.

With DIY assembly please watch out that the black carbon screen (sitting on the white insulation) is conductive and must therefore be removed to avoid ground contact with the inner conductor.
