Yes, the tubes are all "matched" and selected for the above amplifiers.
FAQ: Can I change the tubes myself or does anything need to be adjusted?
Adjustment work is not possible on the above amplifiers (unless a bias adjustment has been retrofitted). The exchange can therefore be done without any adjustment or measurement work.

- Sofus C., 03/19/2021
- Yann C., 01/25/2018Quad of JJ-6L6GC bought to replace a old (10 years old) but valorous quad of Ruby 6L6GC-STR in a Peavey 6505 plus head. Excellent replacement, bias test voltage and bias plate current in specs and 99% comparable to the values obtained with the Ruby set (so, no bias adjustement using trim pot). Sound rules too, similar to Ruby but slightly more punchy and brilliant. Conclusion : I recommend this quad of 6L6GC for any 5150/6505 owner. test voltage and bias plate current in specs and 99% comparable to the values obtained with the Ruby set (so, no bias adjustement using trim pot). But I can honestly say that their lifespan is to short. I have had at least 4 sets of 6L6 JJ tubes, that begin to rattle and sometimes produce microphonics. Its my oppinion that they could be made a bit more sturdy. None of these tubes have been on "the road", so one can rule out handling issues.
I have Tungsol powertubes for years in other amps.
And yes, My amps are measured for correct Bias, and would only give this feedback if I feel its researched well enough.
