    Review:
Okay, so I ordered this kit, I built it, I was afraid to do anything bad so I took my time, watched many Uncle Doug\'s videos on Youtube and took extra precautions because of the potentially lethal high voltages. I learnt a lot, even though I have a small electronic background mostly in numeric electronics. It was great. But the schematic were lacking some stuff like an explanation of the \"strange\" jack sockets and the 2 resistor used on the heater wires to make a virtual ground which were not useful since the kit came with the hammond power transformer which has a center tap for the 6.3v heater wires. But all in all, it went pretty well and forced me to dive into specs and schematics and forums about how to wire the power transformer for a 230v network and I believe a little difficulty is good for learning. One issue though is that the 500T fuses kept on blowing so I replaced them with 1A fast fuse and its okay now. The other issue was that the light did fail later on. I replaced it with a LED with a resistor and a diode (see Rob Robinette\'s site). I also added a Mid cut pot which is very useful indeed (same site). The amp is very quiet and I love its sound. It\'s really a great kit to start fiddling with amps.\r\n\r\nI was very pleased by the quality of the components delivered by Tube Town, everything is included, nothing is missing, I also enjoyed a very fast delivery. \r\nI asked a question about the forum being mostly in German, and they replied very quickly ! What else ?\r\n\r\nI will definitely order again from this site. Very much recommended.
